JEA advises tree trimming, securing furniture ahead of expected severe weather Sunday No description found
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Ahead of the expected storms to hit Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia on Sunday, JEA is prepping to protect the community from any power outages or other emergencies.
The Weather Authority has issued an Impact Day for Sunday, March 16 due to the approaching cold front that has the potential to produce severe thunderstorms.

The utility company is already ahead of the game with plans to have additional crews on standby.
As damaging winds of 45-65 mph, hail and isolated tornadoes could occur, JEA advised customers to prepare for the conditions with the following tips:
Ensure trees are trimmed near powerlines
Secure outdoor furniture or other items that could become projectiles during the storm.
If you or a family member is dependent on power for medical needs, be sure to have plans for backup power.
