JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The City of Jacksonville is hosting a celebration on Thursday to honor Arab American Heritage Month at City Hall.

Mayor Donna Deegan and Councilman Ron Salem are expected to be joined by several members of the Arab community, including Candy Abdelnour Williams of the Salaam Club of Jacksonville and Alex Elias, president of the Ramallah American Club of Jacksonville, for the occasion.
The event is expected to begin around 3 p.m.
