37-year-old motorcyclist dies after striking a traffic sign in Duval County

DUVAL COUNTY, Fla. – A 37-year-old motorcyclist was killed Saturday morning after hitting a traffic sign, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

FHP said the motorcyclist was traveling southbound on Interstate 95 north of Emerson Street.

Officials said he lost control of his motorcycle and traveled off the roadway and onto the outside shoulder, hitting a metal traffic sign support.

Investigators said the motorcyclist died at the scene.
