JSO asks for help to identify vehicle involved in 2024 fatal hit-and-run of Air Force Veteran
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is asking for help in identifying the vehicle involved in a 2024 hit-and-run that killed an Air Force Veteran in Hillcrest.
On Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2024, 53-year-old Robbie Roberts was on an early morning walk in the Hillcrest neighborhood.
JSO said that as she crossed the street at the intersection of Normandy Boulevard and Lenox Avenue, a dark car hit her and left the scene.
Officials said Roberts was in the hospital for several days before she died, before her 54th birthday.
Police said it appears to be a Nissan Juke or a similar car. Anyone with information is asked to call JSO at 904-630-0500. You can also call First Coast Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS to report anonymously.
