JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of North Florida Police and the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department responded to a car fire in the Fine Arts Parking Garage, Building 44 on Thursday.
Officials said the fire was extinguished and the on-ramp going up between levels two and three for structural engineers to assess the garage.

The gas-powered car belonged to a student, officials said.
The rest of Building 44 is open to incoming and outgoing traffic. People parked in the closed area are allowed to remove their vehicles with assistance from the on-site attendant.
