CAMDEN COUNTY, Ga. – A man who worked as a janitor for the Camden County School System Board of Education was accused of aggravated child molestation, according to the Camden County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office said the Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) conducted an interview and determined there was probable cause to obtain warrants against Mason Guarino for the forceful sodomy of a 15-year-old.
Guarino wasn’t employed with the Camden County School System at the time of the incident and the juvenile is not a student in the school system.
Officials said Guarino was taken into custody and the investigation remains active.
“The safety and well-being of our children will always be our highest priority,” Sheriff Kevin Chaney said. “We work closely with the Camden County School System to ensure a safe environment for every student, and when allegations like this arise, we act swiftly and decisively. Our children deserve nothing less.”
