JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Developers of Jacksonville Surf Park submitted a permit application to the city for the $20 million project in eTown, according to our news partners at the Jacksonville Daily Record.
The permit review is officially underway after Aventuur, a Los Angeles-based surf park developer, and local partners, including multi-generational developers, engineers and contractors, announced the deal had been finalized in early June.

“E-Houses,” with prefabricated computer service rooms mounted on structural pads
Transformers and miscellaneous electrical equipment mounted on structural pads
A maintenance building
An outdoor spare parts container
A water treatment building
A cable tray enclosure
An outdoor chemical storage container and cover
Stair platforms to access the wave machine room
Miscellaneous site improvements
Rezoning for the Jacksonville Surf Park drew final City Council approval on Feb. 25. (Jacksonville Daily Record) The developers plan to use sustainable building materials and preservation methods throughout construction.
Construction is scheduled to begin in early 2026, with the park expected to open in early 2028.
