JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was injured in an early Sunday morning shooting while at a Southside restaurant, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
JSO responded to the shooting at the Que Padre Mexican Restaurant on University Boulevard in the San Souci neighborhood around 1 a.m.

Police said the man, who is believed to be in his early 50s, was sitting inside the restaurant when an unknown man on a bike “fired a single gunshot” into the building.

The patron was hit in the back and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police did not provide any details about the suspected shooter.
