3 adults, 1 child transported to hospital after school bus crash on US 1 in Charlton County

CHARLTON COUNTY, Ga. – Five people were transported to a hospital, including one child, following a school bus crash on U.S. Highway 1 in Charlton County on Friday morning, according to the Charlton County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash, involving a van and a school bus, happened between Folkston and Waycross, near Crews Community Road.

Officials said three adults from the van and one student were transported to the hospital.

The bus driver was transported to a hospital by a supervisor, officials said.

According to the Charlton County School System, the injuries appear to be non-life-threatening.
