Local organizations will join JEA Customer Care agents at the event, including the City of Jacksonville Community Outreach, Catholic Charities, Jewish Family & Community Services, and United Way’s 211.

These partners have distributed a total of $94,000 in financial assistance to more than 168 seniors throughout 2025.

Participants can also learn about JEA programs that help seniors save on energy bills and receive financial assistance.

There is additional possible help available through United Way.

Joe Vasquez, JEA public information officer, said, “Senior day allows them all to meet in one area to be able to get those resources and information that could be beneficial for them.”

United Way representatives explained, “If individuals call 211, there’s an opportunity after they get screened that they can get some financial assistance if they are in a hard pinch. If they need a little assistance on their utility bill, there is an opportunity there as well.”

The event is on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at JEA Headquarters, 225 N. Pearl St., Jacksonville.

Parking is free. Attendees can park in the structure at the lot across from the courthouse, and JEA will validate parking for free.
