Expert weighs in on property taxes debate as it takes center stage at this year’s legislative session

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The property tax debate is center stage at this year’s legislative session in Tallahassee.

People in favor of cutting property taxes say it will provide relief and allow for true home ownership. Those against the move worry it will put an undue burden on cities and affect the ability to fund essential services for schools, police, fire, and rescue.
