ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – Miniature-golf project Nothing Putt Fun & Games can move forward in St. Johns County, according to our news partners at the Jacksonville Daily Record.
Rejecting a recommendation from the county Planning and Zoning Agency, the five-member Board of County Commissioners voted unanimously Tuesday in favor of a rezoning request that will allow operation of a 16,000-square-foot building with an indoor course, restaurant and arcade. Food trucks and an outdoor course are planned.

The facility is proposed on 2.78 acres of a 4.5-acre site at 7250 and 7280 U.S. 1 N., about a 3.5 miles south of International Golf Parkway.
In addition to the rezoning, the county is reviewing civil engineering plans for the project, which are revised to lower the proposed building from its original two-story design to one.
On Dec. 18, the county Planning and Zoning Agency voted to recommend denial for the rezoning and a request for a special use permit to serve alcohol. Its recommendations are sent to the commission for consideration of projects, but they are not binding.
