Fire department says incident was under control when firefighters arrived at the property

A spokesperson for the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department said crews arrived in minutes, but the situation was already under control, and firefighters did not need to provide any “fire suppression” efforts.

No injuries or structural damage were reported to JFRD, and crews have already left the scene.

Kraft Heinz shared the following statement with News4JAX on Monday:

We can confirm that all employees are safe and there was no explosion or fire at the plant. The loud noise reported to authorities was caused by a piece of equipment, and we’re investigating the cause of that noise now. There is no danger to employees or the community.
