Police Memorial Building closed to the public Monday due to weather-related water supply issue, JSO says

Agency says Forfeiture Warehouse, Police Memorial Building expected to reopen on Tuesday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office downtown headquarters, also known as the Police Memorial Building, will be closed to the public Monday due to a water supply issue caused by the extreme cold weather, officials told News4JAX.

JSO said those searching for a police report or local criminal background check may go to one of JSO’s six district substations from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday.

Those locations are:

  • District 1 Substation, 5258-13 Norwood Avenue 
  • District 2 Substation, 9119 Merrill Road 
  • District 3 Substation, 8875 Liberty Ridge Drive, Suite 110
  • District 4 Substation, 3726 Blanding Boulevard
  • District 5 Substation, 1767 Kings Road
  • District 6 Substation, 1680 Dunn Avenue

The Patrol Division and the Communications Center will continue to operate as usual. Citizens may call the non-emergency number at 904-630-0500 for police services and are reminded to call 911 in case of an emergency.

Additionally, the Forfeiture Warehouse located at 1087 Haines Street will also be closed on Monday.

JSO said that both buildings are expected to reopen on Tuesday.
