JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was fatally shot Tuesday afternoon on Catoma Street south of 110th Street in the Weconnett neighborhood of Jacksonville’s Westside, police said.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, police were called to a reported shooting around 4:28 p.m. and found a man lying along the roadway with a gunshot wound.

He died at the scene.
Homicide detectives are investigating and said a person of interest and multiple witnesses were being questions Tuesday after the shooting.
A woman who witnessed the deadly shooting told News4JAX that two men got into a fight that led to the gunfire on Catoma Street.
