JSO said Hernandez was arrested for violating probation in relation to a fentanyl possession charge from May 2025. Because of ongoing medical concern, he was taken to a hospital on Jan. 26 and remained in their care until he died on Thursday.

The Medical Examiner’s Office is determining the cause of death and no foul play is suspected.
