Teen airlifted to trauma center after being hit by car in St. Augustine: SJFR

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – A teen had to be air-lifted to a trauma center Thursday after they were hit by a vehicle in St. Augustine, according to St. Johns County Fire Rescue.

The 17-year-old suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was reported to be in stable condition, fire rescue told News4JAX.

Fire rescue said they responded at around 6 p.m.

All lanes are open along Woodlawn Road and Jackson Park Drive after reports on social media of a large presence, including law enforcement and fire rescue.

This makes the second crash in a week in St. Johns County to involve minors.

On Tuesday, a 12-year-old Patriot Oaks Academy student was fatally hit while crossing the street near the school on a mini dirt bike.
