‘Heartbreaking call’: 15 tiny puppies found stuffed in single crate

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Animal Care and Protective Services is looking for homes for 15 small puppies that were found shut inside a single travel crate.

ACPS says one of its officers responded to the heartbreaking call Tuesday morning.

The shelter said the puppies were terrified and could benefit from finding a foster home to help them decompress.

It’s unclear who abandoned the puppies.

Anyone interested in fostering one of them is encouraged to stop by ACPS on Forest Street in Jacksonville.

The shelter is open each day from noon to 7 p.m.
