Palatka man, 22, dies in single-vehicle crash

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. – A Palatka man died early Saturday morning in a single-vehicle crash in Putnam County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP said the unidentified man, 22, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado southbound on Stokes Landing Road south of Moores Trail shortly before 3 a.m.
The man failed to negotiate a left curve, FHP said, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway to the right and collide with multiple trees.
He died at the scene.
No other details were released.
