ORANGE PARK, Fla. – The Clay County Sheriff’s Office announced a murder arrest in connection with a deadly shooting on Sunday.
33-year-old Jasmine Brown has been charged with second-degree murder.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the shooting occurred at approximately 5:15 a.m. on Gano Court and left a 30-year-old victim dead.
Investigators with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office say the investigation determined the incident was domestic in nature. Brown and the victim were married but living separately at the time of the shooting.
Brown arrived at the victim’s residence in the early morning hours, officials said, and an altercation between the two resulted in the victim being shot and killed.
Authorities said investigators believe this was an isolated incident and that there was no threat to the public.
With assistance from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, investigators located Brown at an apartment complex on Sunbeam Road in Jacksonville. Deputies say Brown agreed to return to Clay County, where she was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
