JTA bus crashes on Talleyrand Ave. near 8th Street Jacksonville Transportation Authority says there were no passengers on board

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Jacksonville Transportation Authority bus crashed into a fence on the side of Talleyrand Avenue on Monday afternoon.
It happened near the intersection of 8th Street on the city’s Eastside.
Video from the scene showed the bus stopped next to a row of parked semi-trucks. A tow truck was also on site.
We reached out to JTA, which provided us with this statement:
“JTA bus #2124, which was not in service at the time, was undergoing post maintenance testing while traveling on Talleyrand Road near 8th Street when it was involved in an incident. There were no passengers onboard.
The Jacksonville Transportation Authority is cooperating fully with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office as they conduct their investigation."
