Coast Guard responds to aircraft crash 80 miles off coast of Melbourne

MELBOURNE, Fla. – The U.S. Coast Guard launched a search operation after an aircraft crashed approximately 80 miles off the coast of Melbourne, according to an official statement from the Coast Guard Southeast District.
All 10 people aboard are accounted for and are being transported to emergency medical services for further evaluation, the Coast Guard said.
The cause of the crash remains unknown at this time. The Coast Guard said it will release additional information as it becomes available.
