JSO’s newest member of the Mounted Unit needs a name

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office just enlisted its newest member to join the agency’s Mounted Unit — a police horse with no name.

JSO is torn between the names: Angus and Mac

“We think our Mounted Unit officers were craving some cheeseburgers when they brainstormed names,” JSO said in the Facebook post.

So, they turned to the community to break the tie because this healthy, noble steed can’t hit the street without a name.
