Heavy police activity, including helicopter, closes Pritchard Road near I-295 on Saturday
Police activity on Westside (WJXT)
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to an incident at a RaceTrac gas station in the Picketville area of the city’s Westside on Saturday.
The heavy police presence, which included a helicopter over the area, closed Pritchard Road near I-295 temporarily during the afternoon.
A viewer described a scene with multiple officers in the parking lot of the gas station with their guns drawn.
The road has since reopened, and News4JAX is working to learn more about what drew police to the area.
