Apparent standoff on University Blvd. at Arlington Road ends after man emerges from SUV surrounded by police
JSO on the scene of an investigation in Arlington on Tuesday (WJXT)
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A large police presence was reported in Arlington as the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to a Tuesday night incident.
JSO advised people to avoid University Boulevard near Arlington Road as the intersection was closed due to an ongoing investigation.

A News4JAX crew on the scene could see JSO officers surrounding a silver SUV with guns drawn. The vehicle had damage to the driver’s side and appeared to have been rammed by a JSO cruiser.
The driver of the SUV was later seen emerging from the car with his hands behind his back.
JSO has not provided details surrounding the investigation.
