Tonight will be mostly cloudy and warm with temperatures in the 70s.
Monday will feature a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the low to mid 90s. Isolated showers and storms will develop in the afternoon and evening. Storm coverage will be most widespread in Georgia. These locations are closer to a stalled front.
Make sure to keep an eye to the sky and storms could develop rapidly. Activity will eventually dissipate later in the evening.
A storm could become strong to severe with heavy rain, gusty wind and frequent lightning.
Isolated instances of flooding will be possible. Especially for areas that see several rounds of showers and storms.
A front across Georgia will remain stalled through the middle of the week. This will keep the highest rain and storm coverage mainly across Georgia.
Showers and storms will be possible with highs in the low to mid 90s.
Regarding the drought, the latest drought monitor reflects improvement across our area. Several areas have been downgraded to a moderate drought which reflects the rainfall we saw over the past week.
While we are still in a deficit, rainfall will once again lead to more improvement in the next outlook.
