JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – An 18-year-old motorcyclist was critically injured late Saturday in a hit-and-run crash at the intersection of Faye Road and Dunn Creek Road, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.
The crash happened about 10:59 p.m. June 26, when a sedan and a motorcycle struck each other at the T-intersection, according to the JSO crash report. The motorcycle was lying on its side in the roadway when officers arrived, the report said.

The motorcyclist, identified in the report as Jaiden Alexander Swygert, was taken by Jacksonville Fire and Rescue to a nearby hospital in life-threatening condition. The report lists the injury severity as incapacitating.
Witness accounts differed on the description of the fleeing vehicle. One witness told investigators it was a dark-colored sedan; another said it was a white car with dark tint that was turning left onto Dunn Creek Road and then fled northbound. A witness also said the motorcycle had no lights, the report said.
