The allegations
According to the complaint, the incident occurred Nov. 14, 2025, at the Publix located on Front Street in Ponte Vedra Beach. The plaintiff was shopping at the store when a Publix employee pushing a shopping cart collided into her.
The lawsuit alleges Publix failed to use reasonable care while moving the cart in and around the store, failed to maintain the premises in a reasonably safe condition, and created a dangerous condition for customers.
Injuries claimed
The plaintiff claims she suffered a range of serious physical and financial setbacks as a result of the collision.
According to the complaint, her injuries include bodily harm, pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of enjoyment of life, and medical expenses including hospitalization and nursing care. She is also seeking compensation for lost earnings and loss of ability to earn money in the future.
The complaint states the injuries are either permanent or continuing, and that she sustained permanent injuries “within a reasonable degree of medical probability.”
The lawsuit also claims the collision aggravated a previously existing condition, though the complaint does not specify what that condition is.
