Wings of Grace Ministries, Inc., a nonprofit organization with offices inside the hangar, posted photos of the damage on social media and put out a call for help.

"Hoping the airport has insurance that can covers the structure for weather damage, but they will not cover the inside," the organization wrote on Facebook. “Needing volunteers to help us dry it out and do repairs on damage caused and will continue to be caused by all the water, until we can stop water.”

Heavy rain also led to a flash flood warning, and later a flood warning, for Glynn County, with a weather station in Dock Junction reporting 4.6 inches of rain in just one hour.

As of Sunday evening, there are no reports of storm-related injuries.
