GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. – Glynn County Police Department said it is investigating a death after a body was found in a wooded area near Spur 25 and Chapel Crossing.
Patrol officers responded July 2 after receiving a report of a body and located a deceased person at the scene, police said. Detectives and crime scene personnel with the department’s Criminal Investigations Division also responded and conducted an extended examination and processing of the area.

Detectives have interviewed several people who may have information relevant to the investigation, police said. The circumstances surrounding the death remain under investigation, and detectives are pursuing all leads and gathering evidence.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation medical examiner’s office will determine the cause and manner of death, police said. No additional information is being released to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation.
