A Jacksonville woman is behind bars after investigators say she traveled to a victim’s home and stabbed her following a live-stream confrontation on Bigo Live, an incident that left the victim requiring emergency surgery, according to police.
Ashley Pierre, 29, of Jacksonville, was arrested Tuesday and charged with attempted second-degree murder, according to a Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office arrest report.

What led up to the incident
According to the arrest report, the incident began Monday evening when the victim was watching a Bigo Live stream in which Pierre allegedly spoke negatively about her and, at one point, revealed her home address on the broadcast.
Shortly after the stream ended, the victim heard a knock at her door. When she opened it, she was immediately pepper-sprayed in the face by Pierre, who was accompanied by an unknown male suspect, according to the report.
A fight broke out between Pierre and the victim, during which the second suspect allegedly kicked the victim five times. At some point during the altercation, Pierre stabbed the woman in the back.
Both suspects fled the scene on foot after the attack.
Victim transported to hospital
A neighbor told officers the victim knocked on her door after the attack and said, “I’ve been stabbed, can you help me?” The neighbor then called 911.
Jacksonville Fire Rescue responded to the scene and transported the victim to the hospital.
The stab wound caused severe internal trauma near the victim’s spine, according to the report, and required emergency surgery. Investigators noted the injury could potentially result in permanent bodily disfigurement — a detail that prompted officers to upgrade the charge.
Arrest made following follow-up investigation
The following day, JSO says officers canvassed the area near Pierre’s registered address on Southside Blvd. Officers say they spotted her in the driver’s seat of a white 2017 Toyota Corolla and conducted a vehicle block.
Pierre was taken into custody and transported to the JSO Police Memorial Building. After being read her constitutional rights, she invoked her Fifth Amendment right and did not speak to investigators, according to the report.
Evidence collected at scene
Crime scene investigators photographed the scene and collected the pepper spray canister, processing it for fingerprints. Officers say they also secured video surveillance from the victim and the witness.
Court appearance
Pierre appeared before a judge on July 22, where a public defender was appointed.
