Man charged with sexual battery after student comes forward to school resource deputy
Investigators with the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday announced the arrest of a man facing a charge of sexual battery after resource deputies of a school received a report that a student was a victim of abuse.
Man arrested in killing of 19-year-old in September
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police have announced the arrest of a 27-year-old man in the murder of a 19-year-old during an altercation Sept. 11 on Lambert Street in the Fairfield neighborhood of Jacksonville. Steafon Fields was located Saturday and charged with second-degree murder in the teenager’s death. Police at the time said the 19-year-old was shot several times and died at the scene.

(AP) – A 26-year-old man has been accused of stealing a bulldozer from a Florida construction site, driving it into a neighborhood and knocking down campaign signs for Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, according to authorities and homeowners. The man took the bulldozer in Haines City on Saturday and repeatedly destroyed Biden signs in full view of people who live in the neighborhood, witnesses said. James Blight was charged with grand theft auto and trespassing, according to the Haines City Police Department. “This man came onto my property, took the two Joe Biden signs I had in my yard and then came back with a bulldozer to run down my fence,” Burgess told Bay News 9. Blight was also accused of bulldozing down a city speed limit sign, among other signs.

‘Mighty Ducks’ actor busted on burglary, meth charges
MARYSVILLE, Calif. – A former child actor has been arrested in northern California for burglarizing a home while high. 41-year-old Shaun Weiss, best known as Greg Goldberg on the “Mighty Ducks,” was arrested Sunday. Marysville police say they were called to a home about a burglary in progress. Police say Weiss appeared to be under the influence of drugs. Weiss was taken into custody and charged with residential burglary and being under the influence of meth.
Florida man says wind blew cocaine into his car
FORT PIERCE, Fla. – That darn wind is always causing trouble, especially for “Florida Man.”A man pulled over by police in Fort Pierce last month claimed the cocaine residue found inside a Budweiser can along with a crack pipe was blown there by the wind, according to News 6 sister station WPLG. Police noticed Joseph Zak, 37, appeared to be trying to discard an item when he was stopped for failing to pause at a stop sign, The Smoking Gun reports. When cops asked Zak about the white residue inside the can which eventually tested positive for crack cocaine, he told them "the police or the wind must have placed it there." Zak was arrested and jailed.
