One person killed in motorcycle vs. truck crash in Orange Park (News4Jax)
LAKEWOOD, Fla. – The Florida Highway Patrol says one man is dead and his passenger is seriously hurt after his motorcycle and a pickup truck collided in Orange Park.
Troopers responded to the crash on Moody Avenue and Whipple Avenue around 9 p.m.
They say the truck was turning left onto Whipple Avenue. The driver of the motorcycle tried to pass on its left in a no passing zone, and he crashed into the side of the truck.
The motorcyclist died at the scene, and his passenger was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. They were not wearing helmets.
The driver of the truck was not hurt.
