No injuries or property damage reported after nearly 5-acre brush fire breaks out in St. Johns County near CR-13

Fire crews quickly contain blaze near County Road 13 in St. Johns County (WJXT)

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – A nearly five-acre brush fire in St. Johns County was quickly contained Thursday after crews responded to the blaze near County Road 13 North and Solano Cove Road, with no injuries or property damage reported.

A fire crew was on the scene around 11:30 a.m. and found a slow-moving brush fire burning in the wooded area.

Due to the fire’s size, the Florida Forest Service was also called out to help contain the fire.

The department warned that smoke may remain visible in the area, so motorists should use caution while traveling through the CR-13 corridor.
