JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Chick-fil-A has extended the duration of its temporary pop-up store in Downtown Jacksonville’s Jax Tower, formerly the Bank of America Tower, for at least another month.
Tenants in the building at 50 N. Laura St. were notified in an email that the fast-food chain would be on-site from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday from July 6 through August.

“While this is a temporary arrangement, Chick-fil-A is using this opportunity to test both the downtown market and our building as a potential location for a future full-time, full-service restaurant,” the email read, noting the temporary site is selling items from a limited menu.
Since then, Chick-fil-A announced that it is being extended through Aug. 31 and the pop-up is run by the Atlantic and Kernan location.
“It’s our pleasure to confirm the extension of the temporary downtown Jacksonville pop-up experience at 50 N. Laura Street through August 31. Facilitated by Chick-fil-A Atlantic & Kernan, local Owner-Operator Melinda Sowers and her team have enjoyed connecting with new Guests and look forward to continuing to serve the downtown community for another month. The pop-up experience will be evaluated during the extension to help inform future decisions,” Chick-fil-A said in a statement to News4JAX.
Sarah Teagle, a senior associate of office brokerage at Cushman & Wakefield, confirmed July 6 that the counter was open. She said sandwiches sold out the first day and that the chain was considering adding breakfast service based on requests from customers.
Cushman & Wakefield’s property management division manages the tower and took over leasing and management around January.
