JSO responds to two scenes in Northwest Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is responding to two separate scenes approximately a mile apart.

At Moncrief Road and Myrtle Avenue, a vehicle is surrounded by crime scene tape in front of Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department Station 18. JSO says officers are responding to a person down in the area but has not confirmed whether a shooting occurred.

At Effee Street and West 26th Street, JSO is responding to a reported person shot. The street has been taped off.

Conditions for those involved at either scene are not yet known. JSO said it is not yet sure whether the two scenes are connected.
