GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. – Glynn County police say they arrested two men and recovered multiple stolen firearms following a series of vehicle break-ins reported in the early morning hours of Aug. 3.
Patrol officers and detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division launched an immediate investigation after receiving multiple reports of vehicles being entered. Within a day, detectives say they developed leads identifying suspects.

First suspect taken into custody near Exit 36
The first suspect, a 21-year-old man, was located near Exit 36 and taken into custody without incident. He faces 13 felony counts of entering auto and one felony count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Detectives also say the suspect had outstanding warrants related to previous entering auto cases in Glynn County. He was transported to the Glynn County Police Department for an interview before being booked into the Glynn County Detention Center.
SWAT team assists in second arrest on Goodyear Avenue
As the investigation continued, detectives identified a second suspect — a 22-year-old man. Because he was believed to be in possession of multiple stolen firearms, the Glynn County SWAT Team assisted with his arrest.
At approximately 11:05 p.m. on Aug. 4, the suspect was taken into custody without incident at a residence on Goodyear Avenue. He faces 12 felony counts of entering auto.
Following his arrest, detectives and crime scene personnel executed a search warrant at the residence, where they recovered multiple stolen firearms and other stolen property. The suspect was transported to the Glynn County Police Department for an interview before being booked into jail.
Investigation ongoing; owners of stolen property sought
The investigation remains active. Detectives are continuing efforts to recover additional outstanding stolen firearms and identify the rightful owners of all recovered property.
The Glynn County Police Department credited collaboration between multiple divisions and surrounding agencies as key to the case’s swift resolution, specifically thanking the Brunswick Police Department for its assistance when the investigation extended into their jurisdiction.
“We would like to extend sincere thanks to the Brunswick Police Department for their willingness to assist when this investigation led to their jurisdiction,” the department said in a statement. “As always, we greatly appreciate their professionalism, teamwork, and support.”
Authorities are also reminding residents to lock their vehicles and avoid leaving valuables inside — especially firearms.
