JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Crown Point Elementary was safely evacuated after a small electrical fire Thursday morning, according to Duval County Public Schools and the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.
JFRD said the fire is under control. Initial observations indicate it may have been electrical.

DCPS said parents of walkers and car riders should not send or drop off students at the school. Buses and students already on campus are being rerouted to Mandarin Middle School, where reunification will take place. Families are asked to await additional updates.
