Man arrested, accused of exposing himself to 2 children at Coast Guard Beach on St. Simons Island

GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. – A man was arrested Sunday after police said he exposed himself to two children at Coast Guard Beach on St. Simons Island, the Glynn County Police Department said.

Police identified the man as William Walter Frick. Officers patrolling the beach were approached about suspicious activity involving a man and a child, the department said. During the investigation, two children, ages 8 and 9, reported that an adult male had exposed himself while on the beach.

Officers found the man leaving the beach and took him into custody, police said. Detectives continued the probe and interviewed the children. Frick was arrested and charged with two counts of child molestation, the department said.

The investigation remains active. Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity involving Frick at Coast Guard Beach on Aug. 23 or who has additional information is asked to call the GCPD nonemergency line at (912) 554-3645.
