ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office says an investigation led detectives to a St. Augustine home where they uncovered what authorities believe was an operating drug lab — seizing firearms, suspected narcotics and thousands of dollars in cash.
The Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit, or SIU, says it conducted multiple undercover purchases of fentanyl from Tyler Marrs, 30, before executing a search warrant at his home on Timberwood Drive on Sept. 3. Investigators say they also identified a private website allegedly operated by Marrs for the purchase and delivery of narcotics.

Inside the home, detectives say they recovered 11 firearms, two drones and $22,477 in cash. Investigators also seized 5.5 grams of fentanyl, 78.2 grams of a suspected synthetic opioid — classified as a Schedule I controlled substance — 3.7 grams of methamphetamine, 122.5 grams of various pills, 22 Suboxone films and 18 grams of an unidentified white powdery substance, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Beyond the drugs and weapons, detectives say they located equipment consistent with the manufacturing and distribution of narcotics — including a pill press, a 3D printer, a laboratory manual, precursor chemicals, glassware, vials, packaging and labels, and a money counter.
Charges, arrest
Marrs was arrested and charged with possession of fentanyl with intent to sell, possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, possession of a legend drug with intent to sell, use or display of a firearm during the commission of a felony, manufacture or delivery of drug paraphernalia, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
