Man shot, killed in Oceanway identified

Jacksonville police say state attorney's office will determine if any charges will be filed

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police have identified a man shot and killed in an Oceanway neighborhood early Wednesday morning as a man who lived one mile away.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, 35-year-old Patrick Fowler was found dead on Ponce Boulevard, between North Main Street and New Berlin Road.

Neighbors told police they heard arguments and then gunshots. Police questioned a man and two women at the scene, but there were no arrests.

Homicide detectives said there were no outstanding suspects and the Sheriff's Office said the case was referred to the state attorney's office for a determination of whether any charges would be filed.
