JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to consider a Colorado ruling disqualifying former President Donald Trump from its 2024 Republican primary ballot has sparked quite the debate.

If you follow legal experts and their analysis, there are any number of ways the Justices could rule.

On the latest episode of “Vote 2024: Path to the Polls,” I was joined by Rod Sullivan, a constitutional law expert and member of the Newman Law Group.

We discussed whether Trump’s hand in shaping the nation’s highest court will come into play in any decision-making and whether Justice Clarence Thomas needs to recuse himself.

Among other topics, some legal analysts say the court may reverse the decision without weighing in directly on the former president’s conduct, virtually sidestepping the issue. We looked at how they might do that.

And whatever happens, they can’t afford to drag this out.
