How will the ending of Temporary Protected Status affect immigrant communities in Florida?

Temporary Protected Status for more than 350,000 Haitians and 6,000 Syrians nationwide ended.

It leaves them vulnerable to being deported to the countries they fled — countries still coping with violence and instability.

The move raises humanitarian questions. It also creates a host of economic and healthcare issues in Florida, which is home to the largest Haitian community in the country.
