Applebee's throws surprise party for 94-year-old employee

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Applebee's employees threw a surprise birthday party for one of their co-workers who turned 94-years-old earlier this month.

Adriano Santos has worked at Applebee's on Atlantic Boulevard near Hodges Boulevard for eight years, since he was 86-years-old.

Santos arrived for his usual shift to a surprise celebration with his family, friends and fellow employees, complete with balloons, birthday card and cake.

"He has never called out, walks to work for every shift and never stops working while he's there," Applebee's said in a statement.

 His managers call him a "devoted employee" and a "great man."
