JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – More than 900 students walked away with new shoes last week during this year’s Kicks for the Kids giveaway.
Our viewers came through with donations, with a total of 1,068 pairs of shoes
The organizers said they were even able to call people on the waiting list to bring them in for appointments.
Any shoes left will go to a local elementary school’s shoe closet, and school social workers will give them out to students who need them throughout the school year.
