JACKSONVILLE, FLA – With Valentine's Day just 4 days away now, many of you have already planned a special day for you and your significant other. But, what about those of you who are single? Our Elizabeth Campbell shows us a website a local woman created specifically for singles who love being single!
Carolyn Komperda says she wanted to let other single women to know that it's OKAY to be single -- so she started a website.
"I created onebeforetwo.com because I saw a true need," she said. "There are many resources out there for all different subject groups of humanity, yet I found that resources for singles tend to be lacking, and everyone is single at one point or another in their life.
Life of One, Seasonal Musings and a Valentine's Day survival guide are just a few of the topics on her website. She also includes recipes -- like this granola yogurt parfait that she made for the month of February. She hopes other Jacksonville singles can realize there are POSITIVES to being single.
"I believe that it can be a time of growth and a time when you can truly get to know yourself," says Komperda.
As for celebrating this Valentine's Day WITHOUT that special someone -- Carolyn has this advice:
"Do something that is meaningful and helpful to you as a person."
