Local engineering firm is recruiting 4th graders

Engineering firm Garver is celebrating Engineers Week, or EWeek, and combating the national shortage of engineering graduates by starting early and recruiting 4th graders!

Throughout the week, engineers from Garver are visiting elementary schools across the country to do fun, hands-on engineering activities, like building gumdrop bridges and water filtration activities with students. Engineers from Garver will share why they should consider engineering as a future career path. In doing so, Garver hopes to provide early career exposure before students are making decisions about the education paths they’ll follow in middle and high school.

Parents and teachers can learn more about Garver’s EWeek initiative and join the fun with downloadable resources for their students at GarverUSA.com/EWeek.
