Creative Entrepreneurs popping up downtown Thanks to Placemaking Jax presented by Vystar
Jacksonville – PlacemakingJax Presented by VyStar Credit Union, will debut its most ambitious project yet: the grand opening of 41 E Duval Street — a historic building reimagined as a hub of art, music, culture and community.
Five local creative teams have transformed the long-vacant space into vibrant pop-up experiences, including:
an immersive, multi-room nightlife installation powered by silent disco technology
a tribute to Jacksonville’s rich musical legacy
a Japanese convenience-store-inspired cultural shop
a vintage streetwear and media hub
and an art gallery showcasing seven Florida artists
This project is part of a growing grassroots placemaking movement that’s tackling vacant storefronts and underutilized spaces, one by one, and proving that Jacksonville is far from boring.
