St. Augustine – St. Augustine Humane brought GLADYS AND THE PIPS, one female and three males. They are 14 weeks old, fully vaccinated, and ready to enter the queue for spay and neutering. They were born to a fully feral, free roaming queen. They are all domesticated and ready to go to their forever homes. We believe this was AT LEAST the queen’s second litter. We were able to catch and spay her, and humanely trap four of her five kittens. We have eyes on the fifth kitten but we don’t want to mix her in with these guys. The fifth, a female, is being rescued by someone else, but will be spayed and neutered along with these guys. Without intervention, the females can have three to four litters a year and four to six kittens per litter.
Trivia note. Th musical group Gladys Knight and the Pips originally were the PIPS, and had two female members.
