After a long hiatus, John Muka Band performing live and releasing new music Performing More and More
Jacksonville – After a long hiatus, the John Muka Band is back with a talented 10 piece band performing live in Jacksonville area and beyond. Led by John Muka and Troy Towsley, the band’s sound is a fusion of many styles from funk to rock with an emphasis on jamming. Often compared to bands like Dave Matthews, Phish, and Goose (to name just a few), the John Muka Band has carved out a unique original style that stands on its own as a true Jacksonville original sound.
Performing in the band are some of North Florida’s most talented musicians including TR Zielinski on fiddle who is easily one of the most dynamic performers in the area. A new album “Things I Can’t Change” (available now on all streaming platforms) was released in 2025 many positive reviews and accolades.
The band is set to follow-up with single releases that are planned for March 2026 with another full album in the works for later in 2026. The band’s first show of 2026 will be at Jack Rabbits on March 22, 2026.
Look for many more appearances in in the near future with the band focused on performing live events in the coming months at local North Florida club venues and festivals.
